Good Friday just got Better
Firstly, A big CONGRATULATIONS to our Student Recruitment Coordinator, Jaslyn Ozomok, who became Miss Volunteer Canada in 2018. Jaslyn has been volunteering with us for several years and along with recruiting student volunteers from high schools, she has written and appeared in several Escarpment Project videos. She has been a team leader at Devils Punchbowl, helps out at our volunteer appreciation BBQ and often volunteers to do whatever else she can for the Escarpment Project. Along with volunteering, Jaslyn also has a job and a high school average in the high 90’s. Way To Go Jas! You are an inspiration!
The 2019 annual Escarpment Project spring clean up is scheduled for Good Friday, April 19, 2019 at 10am. Good Friday is the biggest hiking day of the year in Ontario and we’re hoping to attract many hikers to our initiative or at least help spread the word to other hikers about cleaning up the areas. We are currently looking to add new areas along the escarpment to improve by cleaning. If you know of any problem areas please contact us and let us know.
The Escarpment Project is also looking for reliable team leaders for the annual spring clean up. We have locations across the escarpment from Hamilton to Niagara. If you are interested in being a team leader please let us know. As a team leader you are responsible for signing people in, handing out clean up supplies and relaying any information to volunteers.
Lastly we are looking for a person to help find sponsors for 2019. This position is ideal for a retired or semi retired person with a sales background. If you are interested please contact Greg via email: greglenko@escarpmentproject.ca
If you haven’t seen the clean up video from last spring yet here is the link to our Youtube channel where you can view it.
Thanks for all your help in 2018 and here’s to a clean and healthy 2019.
