Fall Clean Up a Success
On Saturday, September 16th, The Escarpment Project held our first fall, multi-location clean-up in Dundas and Hamilton including; Dundas trails, Wentworth stairs & side trails, as well as Sam Lawrence Park Side Trail. Thank you and congratulations to all the awesome volunteers who came out and donated their time on a beautiful Saturday morning to help improve some of the natural areas Hamilton has, that so many enjoy. Now that much of the unsightly litter and debris has been removed these areas are more enjoyable for all those who pass through. It was the first time The Escarpment Project has cleaned the Sam Lawrence Park area and we will be adding it to our annual spring clean up in 2018. Some of the items that were removed from these areas include; shopping carts, suitcases, pylons, stereo equipment, scrap metal, coffee cups, water bottles, tires, clothing and more.
We will release details about our next clean-up project, as well as our annual spring clean up & BBQ in the near future and hope to see you at one of our events soon.
Thanks,
The Escarpment Project Team
