It’s Time Hamilton! Grimsby! & Dundas!
We have been working our butts off this year at The Escarpment Project to ensure another fun and successful clean up day this Sunday, April 24, 2016. It’s Time Hamilton to get out and help with this year’s clean-up! It’s Time Hamilton! Grimsby! & Dundas! to join in on this years escarpment project in Hamilton, Grimsby, and Dundas to ensure that ‘Nature, Our Home’ will become more enjoyable for everyone who uses it. After all, it is ‘Our Responsibility’.
It’s Time Hamilton! Grimsby! & Dundas! to join in on a record breaking year!
More people have preregistered for this year’s Escarpment Project clean-ups, than the previous two years combined. This is just a final reminder to come out and help clean-up at one of the many locations across the escarpment starting at 11:00am on Sunday April 24th. Be sure to dress properly and according to weather conditions. Be sure to use layers and be prepared for rain or shine. Currently the weather forecast is calling for sun and a high of 13 C. If you are joining The Escarpment Project as a team this year, be sure to wear team shirts and show off your colours. Get social. (#EscPrj) Bring your phones & cameras and take lots of selfies showing-off how great and important this work is to you and your team.
Remember to also ‘tag us’ on social media and use our handle @EscPrj and never forget to use The Escarpment Project hashtag which is #EscPrj. Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Flickr, Tumblr, Pinterest, LinkedIn and more.
After you are done cleaning up, join us for a celebration at the volunteer appreciation BBQ. The BBQ is another one of our annual traditions, that we organise each year for all the volunteers who have helped out. It starts at 2pm at Punchbowl Market. The East Hamilton Optimist Club will be grilling sausages as well as beef & veggie burgers. We will also have pizza from Roma Pizza and chicken kabobs from Rony’s Rotisserie which is opening soon in Stoney Creek. Starbucks is supplying coffee. This year Muskoka Brewery will be selling beer to those of legal drinking age to help us raise money to cover expenses (remember to have a designated driver and to never drink and drive, always arrive alive). There will also be soft drinks available thanks to Eastgate Fortinos.
See you this Sunday morning at 11 for a whole lot of fun.
