Here We Grow Again in 2016

With spring well on it’s way that means The Escarpment Project clean up is getting even closer. This year marks our 5th anniversary of improving the escarpment and it looks like it will be the biggest and best Escarpment Project clean up yet. There have been several new locations added this year including; Billy Green Falls, Felker’s Falls & Davis Creek, James Street Stairs and Ancaster Creek. We are expecting over 1000 volunteers to help out with this year’s event. If you plan on helping out please let us know so we can calculate the number of supplies we need. To sign up click here.

Here is our first video announcing this year’s clean up. Please share it with your friends and followers on social media.

The Escarpment Project was approached by Mohawk College’s Sustainability Office and asked to help with their, “A Better Community Day”. This is a day when Mohawk College students are asked to volunteer their time to do something to improve their community. Logo_Vert_PMSThe Escarpment Project agreed to help out with 3 locations for volunteers to work at. It is also an alternate day to our annual clean up day on April 24th this year. If you are unable to attend our annual Escarpment Project clean up perhaps you would still like to lend a hand by helping out Mohawk students on April 3rd. For more info click here.

The Escarpment Project would also like to thank and welcome two new sponsors to this year’s event; Roma Bakery who will be supplying some of their fabulous pizzas as some added flavour for us to enjoy and McPhail Brothers Auto have also signed on to help out. If you are interested in sponsoring part of the cleanup contact us and we will be happy to send you a sponsorship package or you can click on the donate button on our home page.
