Escarpment Project Gaining More Momentum
It seems like its been a long time since Project Punchbowl but several milestones have been made since the spring of 2012. Who knew it would turn into an escarpment wide cleanup event and the largest of its kind in Canada? With the addition of the areas being cleaned came the name change to The Escarpment Project. The Devil’s Punchbowl is still our home base.
As the Escarpment Project gets ready for the 3rd Annual Cleanup this April 27th, it seems it is already making waves with an article written about it in Raise the Hammer on March 4th.
It has also been nominated for Hamilton’s ‘Community Builder Award’ presented by the Hamilton Spectator and Volunteer Hamilton.
In other news the Escarpment Project now has joined Twitter. Our address is @EscPrj and the hashtag is #escprj for both Twitter and Instagram. After the first 24 hours our Twitter account already has over 100 followers. Please follow us and help spread the great news about the environment getting cleaned up. We also have a Tumblr page escprj.tumblr.com, a Flickr Photostream for EscPrj, and an Instagram account that is EscPrj.
Lastly, you may have also noticed that we have a new logo and hope you like it.
How are we doing?
We are interested in knowing how we are doing in the community. Feel free to send us your feedback or comment on our posts whenever you see them.
Thanks,
Greg
