The Escarpment Project Grows Again

Thanks to the support of Councillor Scott Duvall we have added a new location to the Escarpment Project clean-up for this April 27. It is the Wentworth Stairs access trails. The Wentworth Stairs is one of the oldest and most used sets of stairs which have approximately 2000 users per day in summer months. Unfortunately with the high volume of traffic in this area comes a high volume of litter. Adding this section of trail to his year’s clean-up means the clean up will include the escarpment almost completely uninterrupted from Albion to Chedoke. Devil’s Punchbowl remains to be the home base area for the clean-up. Hopefully in time we will be able to connect the clean-up across the entire escarpment from Stoney Creek to Ancaster.
Scott Duval is one of several councillors supporting the clean-up including; Tom Jackson, Sam Merulla, Chad Collins, Brad Clark, Lloyd Ferguson and Bob Morrow who has taken the place of the late Bernie Morelli who supported The Escarpment Project last year.
